Jean-Christophe Bélisle-Pipon, PhD is a Visiting Researcher at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at the Harvard Law School.
His research focuses on pharmaceutical marketing and the moral responsibility of regulators and industry. While his undergraduate training in physics led him to pure science, he developed interests in the field of health and bioethics while working in the pharmaceutical industry, where he worked for 6 years in clinical research and regulatory affairs as well as in business intelligence, sales, and marketing. He also has experience on the regulation side as a research assistant at the Québec Commissioner of Health and Welfare specifically to document and analyze drug regulation and formulated recommendations to the Québec Ministry of Health.
Jean-Christophe has been awarded the Québec Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal for his leadership in the scientific community and academic excellence. His research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Québec Health Research Fund (FRQS), Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Québec Support for People and Patient-Oriented Research and Trials Unit.
